Calligraphy Classes in Exeter.
Tuesdays 1.30 -3.30pm or 6.30-8.30 
Suitable for beginners and improvers. 
Please get in touch if you are interested. Maximum of 8 in a class. Fee payable in advance £90 includes all essential materials.

Calligraphy for beginners and those with some previous experience - this course is offered three times a year Autumn (Sept Oct), Winter (Jan Feb) and Spring ( May/June) and will run if there are sufficient participants.

The course is for 8 weeks and costs £90 to paid in advance. For booking form and payment instructions please reply to this email or ring 01884 266895

For beginners the course will encompass learning at least two scripts, use of colour and a variety of nib sizes, layout and design of a page of work culminating in making an initial letter using transfer gold leaf. For those with some experience you will be able to explore and develop any two chosen scripts and expand your layout and design techniques using a variety of materials.

It will be informative and fun and with a maximum of 8 in a class you will get lots of hands on tuition.

Please bring these essentials with you 

A3 layout pad (Daler Rowney; Seawhite or similar)

A bottle of Parker Quink Black ink (or similar- must be non waterproof)

I carry pens and nibs for you to purchase to take home with you.

Please bring anything you already have and wish to use or have comment on.

Refreshments will be provided.
